Battery reconditioning and regeneration Company Description


Battery Extend provide a ground-breaking deep cell battery re-conditioning service that restores batteries to close to new condition, with one simple on-site process. That process is battery de-sulphation or sulphation elimination. Our service covers all types of deep cycle lead-acid batteries. Typically we regenerate the following batteries: Forklift batteries Golf cart batteries HGV batteries Emergency power battery units Reserve power battery back-up systems Heavy duty deep cycle batteries Aviation batteries. Locomotive batteries. Telecom network batteries. Solar and wind-powered battery banks.These include 6, 12, 24 and 48 cell batteries. The Battery Shop 'On wheels' The battery regeneration concept is based upon extensive scientific research, development and testing of the Patent Pending Model 4800 de-sulphation system. This system has been proven to quickly de-sulphate lead-acid batteries in a commercially viable manner, in less than 1-hour, at the client’s location! Extensive R&D and testing of batteries returned by battery shops after repair revealed that in virtually all cases the batteries were improved with respect to a lowering of internal resistance (impedance) after the application of the Model 4800 de-sulphation system. This means that as the battery cycles from charge to discharge, those batteries with lowered “after repair impedance” will last longer before sulphation accrues to a performance depleting level, than those currently returned after traditional battery shop repair processes. The current “Sulphation Elimination” repair process is expensive in both labour costs to pickup and deliver the batteries, mileage and vehicle costs for battery transportation, shop electricity to maintain the constant current charge (and other shop expenses), and labor to perform and monitor the process in the shop. In addition, the battery is out of service and the downtime related to this process is often one or more weeks. Additional end-user’s opportunity costs associated with traditional sulphation elimination techniques may include: 1) The purchase and maintenance of spare batteries 2) The rental of batteries during the sulphation elimination process 3) The inability to use the lift truck associated with the battery being repaired.
